Communication Channels

With so many ways for people to communicate with you such as email, sms, WhatsApp, Signal, Telegram, Messenger, MS Teams, Google Meet, etc an employee can spend all day responding to these communications and still miss an important one.

What is needed is for organisations to develop a communications policy that sets out, inter alia, the official mode of communications for internal and external use by its employees.

In this way, organisations can mitigate their risk of missing vital communications and have a particular reference source/s in case the need arises.

In future, what may be required is an international register (protected by law in all countries who subscribe to it) where a company or person can register an address to receive all communications addressed to it/him/her requiring an answer on the basis that this is then the only address that may be used for that person for notifications or communications requiring a response.

Someone could even make some money running it!
